Diana & Shane: Chicago Love Story | A Wedding at The Haley Mansion | Joliet, IL

From the very beginning, Diana and Shane’s story has felt like something out of a romantic film — so it’s only fitting that their wedding day at The Haley Mansion in Joliet, Illinois felt just as cinematic.

They met at Kellogg, in the midst of lectures, notes, and the shared pursuit of big dreams. What started as classmates navigating Chicago life slowly grew into something deeper — with Shane helping Diana build furniture, find her way in a new city, and ultimately win her heart with quiet kindness and unwavering presence.

Their proposal was equally heartfelt. On what was supposed to be a trip to the Chicago Art Fair, Shane led Diana to their favorite park, Olive Park near Navy Pier. There, surrounded by roses and the melody of her favorite song, “Comptine d’un Autre Été,” Shane popped the question — with friends capturing every moment from behind the scenes.

Their wedding at Haley Mansion was a joyful celebration full of community, connection, and personal touches that reflected everything they love: art, dancing, and their deep bonds with friends and family.
